Aqua is a lyrical exploration, in which a series of close-up photographs of big waves evoke a dormant, irrational feeling, beyond time. Sometimes terrifying, sometimes peaceful, water is explored for its profound symbolic value. It is not just a physical element but it becomes a place for the soul, a reflection that awakens a broader awareness of being in the world, capable of acting as a bridge between the unconscious and the conscious. Its ceaseless movement becomes a metaphor and a reflection of a vertiginous inner dialogue, stemming from the need to move closer to the images of the unconscious, the eternal structures of the psyche, at the backbone of all experience.
